Yummy substitute for peanut butter 04-29-08 @ 1:49 p.m.
I just wanted to let you all know that DJ and I tried Sunbutter today. It's sunflower seed butter...it sounds gross, but it looks and tastes just like peanut butter! I was happily surprised. DJ also took right to it, which I wondered since it has been so many months since he had pb and we discovered his allergy. (He used to love pb, he had it for a few months before an allergy developed.)
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with all of you, in case any of you are allergic or have kids that are, I highly recommend this product! You can go to sunbutter.com for info. Also, according to the label it actually has a bit more vitamins than pb. I paid $3.29 for the 16oz jar, and it probably doesn't go on sale, but it's another thing to add to the healthy list of foods DJ eats. :)
