Poor Wesly Snipes. For 10 years he refused to pay his taxes, in fact, even sought to get the tax money he paid in 96 & 97 returned to him....owing the government somewhere between $15-20 million dollars.
Now, poor, unsuspecting and naive, or to put it in his words instead, "idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance"...now he must pay. You know, what the rest of us average Joe's pay without question every single year. Taxes. They may have been misdemeanors, but they brought him 3 years in prison. Amen.
Honestly, I used to like Snipes, until a friend of a friend who worked with him on a film project enlightened me to how much he hates white people. That was strike one. Blade was strike two in my book. And this is strike three!
What is his logic? No one wants to give their hard-earned money to the government for them to mismanage and do god-knows-what with! But, we do, without question. Did he feel that he was so poor that he needed that money? Maybe he should take a look at my bank account, then he'd know what us poor average joes make and have!
I was so happy to see his conviction! I do like to see stars get the same treatment that my neighbor or brother would get, were they in his shoes. Even more, I wish people like him would think about what his millions could buy the rest of us Americans. Maybe help our school systems?
