I got a call from my mom today. Christmas Miracles of Miracles, she asked me if we wanted to get together on the 23rd to exchange gifts, prior to getting together with her family! As I vented in my other entry, this was what my sister and I came up with as the best time and that my brother agreed with. We each talked to her seperately about it and she vehemently opposed it each time. Well, seems she had a change of heart. I played it cool and said, "Well, that would work PERFECT for us, but I thought you didn't want to do that." She gave me some excuse, but needless to say I am thrilled. This means no crazy running around on Christmas Day! We get to leisurely open our gifts at home with DJ, I can make my dish for Rosie's no prob. and then head to her place with time to spare. Awesomeness.

Well, I thought I should do an update on DJ and post some pics. Here's the text I included when I sent an email to friends/family: DJ is 15 months old now! Pretty much his day consists of running around the house, playing with all of his toys. He loves his truck, stacking his blocks, and more recently his Megablocks. He still likes to play his piano and drums, because if you know DJ- he LOVES music. He's learned on his "fridge farm" how many number of "pushes" it takes to get to his favorite song and then begins the dancing. Occasionally he'll enjoy a quiet moment by sitting down and flipping through some of his books. He began "school" this fall, once every other week we go and play with some other kids his age in a classroom setting. He enjoys it.
He is saying a few words, but it's pretty much mama, dada, all done, yay and a few others we haven't determined yet. He's understanding a lot of what you tell him or ask of him now. If you ask him to pick something up or to bring something to you, he will often listen. When we read Goodnight Moon he can point out the kitty-cats. Subsequently, he still enjoys chasing ours around the house! He's got 11 teeth. And most currently at his 15 month check up he weighs 20lb 10oz and is 31 3/4" long. He's thin and tall!
