Last night I went to the Rascal Flatts concert with Michelle. It was really good. They had tons of special effects. Our seats were amazing too! The best I think I've had at our big local venue. They had two stages, one in the middle of the floor seats, we were just a bit up from the floor, so it was better so that we could see them on our eye level. Anyway, we were so close I could see the expressions on their faces! They put on a good show too, good mix of songs.
Michelle mentioned that she'd like to go to the Goo Goo Dolls/Lifehouse concert next month. Well, I have been debating on if I could find anyone, so I am thrilled. These are two of my favorite modern "rock" bands, I will be in heaven!! I can't wait till Aug. 22nd. Oh, needless to say I got the tickets this morning.
Last but NOT least, I've got my birthday present picked out! AEROSMITH. I've been trying to see them for over TEN years. Twice I had tickets and still didn't go (once I was fighting with a boyfriend and we weren't in the mood and another time I had to sell them for the cash. Long time ago- still with that same ex.). Anyway, have been trying to catch them for years with Dave, but timing or price was never right. Well, I decided that I'd like to see a concert this year for my bday and if they were coming it'd be them. Just two days ago I got the email they were coming in Sept. This morning we ordered tickets. I am THRILLED.
This is going to be another great summer for concerts. Nice thing is that it's a good mix of music and both of bands I have and have NOT seen before. (I've seen both GGD and LH) Anyone else going to see any concerts this summer???
