Going to try typing this with DJ on my lap. He loves to try and grab the keys or my fingers!
Just wanted to ask you all to say a prayer or send good thoughts over to a friend of mine whose baby is very sick. I know her from the AmericanBaby board, we've all known each other since we were pregnant, all due in Sept. 06. Well, she had her baby, Tyler in JULY. A tiny premie who has had so many struggles. At one point he had a blood transfusion....the latest is that he has craniosyntosis. That was what the doc's thought DJ had a while back with his skull bones fusing early. It's very serious and he of course needed corrective surgery. Unfortunately her doc did not catch it early, so he needed the full skull surgery.
He's not doing well. At one point he stopped breathing and his heart stopped. Right now he's on a ventilator, they worry about brain damage and his eyes are swollen shut. Of course, it just brings me to tears. That could have been DJ, it could have been any of our babies. It reminds me that putting DJ in a cap is something to be thankful for, and not upset about because he's healthy and ok.
Anyway, please send some good vibes Tyler's way! I'm so worried for the little guy, he's been through so much.
